Cheers to the weekend, Blue Jays! And by weekend, I specifically mean Saturday. There are festivals happening in many corners of Baltimore, and I guarantee that one of them will intrigue you!
Saturday
Gwynn Oak Food and Music Festival, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Gwynn Oak sits just to the left of Hampden and right outside of the typical Hopkins radius. Take this weekend as an opportunity to burst your Hopkins bubble and enjoy food, music and a variety of vendors. There will even be a prize raffle! The festival is free to attend, and you can register on Eventbrite.
Remfest 2022, 12 – 9 p.m.
Celebrate the delightful neighbor to Charles Village at Remfest this weekend! At the intersection of Remington Avenue and 28th Street, you will find pretty much anything you can ask for from a street festival: local live musicians, artists, brewers and plenty of food. You can even buy an adorable Remfest T-shirt to support the Greater Remington Improvement Association. The festival is free to attend and you can find more information on it on Facebook.
Trifecta Food Truck and Music Festival, 11 a.m. – 9 p.m.
If you missed the Maryland State Fair earlier this month, you can still go enjoy the fairgrounds this weekend with the largest food festival in Maryland. There will be over 35 food trucks and drink vendors, 12 live bands and more than 50 craft vendors to peruse! Grab some friends and carpool up to Timonium, which sits just above Towson. Tickets are $30 and can be bought on the festival’s website.
Trash Wheel Fan Fest, 7 – 10 p.m.
If you are not yet a fan of Mr. Trash Wheel and his compatriots, you’re going to be one in about two sentences. Mr. Trash Wheel is a large machine that roams around the Inner Harbor, gulping up plastics and reducing pollution. Mr. Trash Wheel and his offshoots have been endowed with a certain idol status in Baltimore, and the Peabody Heights Brewery happily contributes to their popularity with their annual fan fest. Enjoy unlimited Peabody Heights Brewery beer, a great selection of food trucks and trash wheel-inspired art for $40 now or $45 at the door. Get tickets on the Waterfront Partnership website.
