A large winter storm dropped eight to twelve inches of snow on Homewood on Jan. 25, closing the university for two days early in the semester.
Fires near campus prompt emergency alerts, no injuries

The News-Letter covered updates on two large fires near campus, one in Remington on Nov. 7 and one in Hampden on Nov. 10. Students reported seeing smoke and hearing fire-truck sirens on the Homewood campus. No injuries have been reported.
