A weekend lineup of concerts, theater, skating and playoff watch parties across Baltimore.

Welcome back for the spring, just in time for an unexpected winter storm. Between settling back in, syllabus season and snow in the forecast, this weekend is shaping up to be a slower return to campus life. If you do end up venturing out, there are a handful of things happening around the city, from concerts and theater to skating and a playoff watch party, all easy options for easing back into the semester.

Friday

Brahms & Haydn with Heyward, Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall, 1212 Cathedral St., 8 p.m.

Music director Jonathon Heyward leads a program that balances Classical elegance with Romantic intensity, featuring Haydn’s wit and Brahms’ Violin Concerto performed by Simone Lamsma. Expect sweeping melodies, sharp orchestral color and a polished night at the symphony. Tickets range from $35 to $109.

Saturday

A Carnival of Ice, Harbor Point Central Plaza, 1310 Point St., 11 a.m.–5 p.m.

Harbor Point turns into a winter playground with live ice carving demonstrations, interactive ice displays and roaming circus performances throughout the day. Expect stilt walkers, aerial silks, canine acts and carnival-style food trucks serving everything from loaded baked potatoes to funnel cake. Admission is free.

From East, Like the Sun, Strand Theater, 5426 Harford Rd., 8 p.m.

The final weekend of this world premiere closes with a moving story about immigration, family and the search for stability across generations. Written by Karen Li and directed by Jalice Ortiz-Corral, the play blends history and haunting reflection as two families reckon with what it means to leave home. Tickets are $25.

Sunday

Touchdowns & Tunes, Hard Rock Cafe, 601 E. Pratt St., 3–9 p.m.

Spend Sunday watching the championship playoffs at Hard Rock Cafe with back-to-back game watch parties, tailgate-style food specials and drink deals throughout the afternoon. Wear your team’s jersey for a chance at 20% off your bill if they win, and settle in for a lively game day atmosphere in the Inner Harbor.
