Congratulations, Blue Jays — you made it to spring break! For those of you leaving Baltimore, safe travels! If you’re sticking around, however, check out these events happening in the area. 

All weekend

St. Paddy’s Weekend, 5 p.m.

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at the Nepenthe Brewing Co.! 21+ attendees can try one (or both) of the new beers the brewery is debuting on Friday, as well as the $5 Irish whiskey shots on the menu. Nepenthe Brewing Co. is also offering food specials all weekend and hosting a Taylor Swift trivia at 1 p.m. on Sunday! 

Sunday 

Beer & Books: A Book Fair, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. 

We all look back fondly on the Scholastic book fair memories of our youth. The Ministry of Brewing, in conjunction with Greedy Reads and Dreamers and Make Believers, is recreating the magic of a book fair this Sunday, including a drag queen story hour from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m.! Head to the Ministry of Brewing to browse books, hang out with friends and enjoy food and drink offerings at the beautiful venue! 

Next week

Yoga at the Brewery, Monday 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.

The Ministry of Brewing hosts yoga classes every Monday night! This Monday’s class is a Power Flow session; drop-in tickets are available for $18. If you want to become a regular, then class-pack tickets are available as well! Purchase tickets here

Drop-in Tour: Women Artists, Thursday 2 – 3 p.m. 

Take time this break to visit the Baltimore Museum of Art! On Thursday, the museum is offering a free, drop-in tour focusing on gallery pieces done by women artists. No registration is necessary! 

Drafts for the Dell, Thursday 5 – 8 p.m. 

Fan of Wyman Park Dell? Help support the Friends of Wyman Park Dell at its annual fundraiser at the Peabody Heights Brewery! The event will have pinball, games and popcorn for everyone as well as beer for 21+ attendees. You will also have the opportunity to learn about upcoming events at Wyman Park Dell! Pre-sale tickets are $8, and tickets at the door are $10. 

Cherry Blossom Kite Festival, Saturday 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. 

As spring break winds to a close, take a day trip to Washington, D.C. to enjoy the Cherry Blossom Kite Festival at the Washington Monument. There will be free kite-decorating kits available, as well as performances by the Wings Over Washington Kite Club. Read more about the day’s itinerary here

The Big Baltimore Kite Fest, Saturday 12 – 4 p.m. 

Head to Patterson Park to enjoy the Big Baltimore Kite Fest! If you’re interested in flying your own kite, kites will be available for purchase at the event. If you’re more interested in watching, there will also be food vendors and live music for your enjoyment! Read more here
