The Hopkins men’s basketball team capped a record-setting regular season with a dominating 87-58 win over Washington College on Senior Day. The Goldfarb crowd stayed after the game for the presentation honoring the four Blue Jay seniors: Omar Randall, Luke Chambers, George Bugarinovic and Jimmy Hammer.
The Hopkins men’s tennis team took fourth place at the ITA National Team Indoor Championship this past weekend in St. Peter, Minn. The No. 7 Blue Jays lost to the second-seeded No. 5 Washington University Bears, 6-3.

Going into their third game of the season, the No. 5 Blue Jays took on Villanova at the Wildcats’ home field. Already having home field advantage, the Jays also had to conquer the snow as the Villanova stadium held about five inches of snow throughout. The weather seemed to effect the Jays as they started off the game slowly.

After an up and down 4-12 regular season, the Blue Jays were led by an individual champion and a runner-up en route to a 5th place finish at the Centennial Conference Championships this past Saturday at McDaniel College in Westminster, Md.

The resolve and determination of the Hopkins men’s basketball team was on display once again this past Saturday against Swarthmore, as the team rallied from a 20-point deficit in the second half to improve to 19-2 on the season and 13-1 in the Centennial Conference. The win marks the 16th straight victory for the Blue Jays.

Freshman fencer Matthias Philippine has had quite a strong season in his first year fencing at the college level. In his debut in December, Philippine exploded onto the scene with a 10-2 performance in the Brandeis Invitational in Waltham, Mass.
