Hopkins men’s lacrosse faced off against the Pennsylvania State University Nittany Lions on the stormy Saturday evening of April 16. The Blue Jays proved too much for Penn State, recording a 13-10 victory for their second win in the Big Ten.
Women’s lacrosse went head-to-head against the Coastal Carolina University Chanticleers for the first time ever on April 10. The Jays proved to be too much for the Chanticleers, cruising to a 16-8 victory.
Graduate student Annie Gutierrez finished off a successful two weeks with a new personal record (PR) in the 400-meter hurdles with a national top-30 time of 1:05.87 at the Mason Spring Invitational this past weekend. She also broke her own school record in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.57 at the Towson Invitational, ranking third in program history.

This past offseason, Tripp Myers was working on his swing in batting practice. It was nothing out of the ordinary for his routine, but he went through a stretch, as every baseball player does, where he was struggling to hit the ball as hitting coach Adam Schlenoff advised Myers to simplify his swing.
After another busy week of back-to-back games, the Hopkins Blue Jays now hold a record of 5-3, losing two of the three games played over the weekend and winning one later on in the week. Over the weekend, two of those games were against the University of Southern Maine Huskies, where each team took a win. The Jays then fell 0-3 to the eighth-ranked Salisbury University Sea Gulls.
