From comic books and outdoor movies to handmade crafts, astrology and neighborhood celebrations, this weekend offers a mix of creative and community events across Baltimore. Saturday brings the Baltimore Comic-Con, a screening of Dirty Dancing under the stars and a local makers market, while Sunday features hands-on sewing, an astrology workshop and the Abell Community Street Fair.

Baltimore Comic-Con, Baltimore Convention Center, Sept. 25–27
The Baltimore Comic-Con returns to the Baltimore Convention Center for a weekend celebrating comic books, creators and pop culture. Attendees can meet artists and publishers, browse vendors, and participate in drop-in art workshops. The convention runs Friday through Sunday, with Sunday programming beginning at 10 a.m.
Silent Movie Night: Dirty Dancing, Canton Waterfront Park, 7-10 p.m.
Watch Dirty Dancing under the stars at Canton Waterfront Park during a special Rhythm & Reels Silent Movie Night. Attendees can follow the movie through event-provided headphones while enjoying the waterfront atmosphere. The event will also feature free popcorn with a gourmet toppings bar and a loaded baked potato bar from Raspberry Moments. Admission is $10 per person.
Mini Maker’s Market – It’s Fall, Y’all!, R. House, 12–6 p.m.
Head to R. House for the Mini Maker’s Market – It’s Fall, Y’all, a fall-themed afternoon featuring handmade goods, local crafts and food vendors. Shoppers can browse everything from candles and jewelry to ceramics, artwork and crochet pieces while supporting Baltimore-area makers. Admission is free.

The Astrological Sun: Getting to Know Your Sun Sign, Manor Mill, 1–3 p.m.
Explore the meaning of the Sun in astrology during this interactive class with ODastrology. The session will examine how the Sun relates to autonomy, creativity, self-expression and life purpose, including how it can manifest across different signs. Tickets are $40, and attendees should bring a pen and paper and provide their birth information when registering.
Abell Community Street Fair: “Over the Moon,” Abell Avenue & 32nd Street, 12–5 p.m.
Celebrate the Abell community at its annual street fair, this year inspired by sci-fi and outer space. The event will feature a silent auction, porch concerts, local food and drinks, art, costumes, and neighborhood decorations. Admission is free, and proceeds support the Abell Improvement Association’s year-round community projects.
