As the 2024–25 academic year comes to a close, we want to share our deepest gratitude to everyone who has helped the paper thrive. The past year has had unprecedented implications and impacts on higher education and students, and The News-Letter’s critical work would not be possible without the support of the Hopkins community.
We would like to extend a big thank you to:
Brittini Brown, Angelique Williams Anderson and Laura Stott. We have greatly appreciated your support with the Gatehouse throughout the semester and your help with distributing the commencement magazine.
The Johns Hopkins Alumni Association for their generous grant that enabled the printing of this magazine in glossy form for the first time.
J.B. Bird, Doug Donovan and Megan Christian, for their help with administrative comments for articles.
Chris Brown, who generously helped us find a new place to deliver our papers on campus.
Jaclyn Fuller, Nichole Mukoda and Toni Hewes from the Delaware Printing Company.
Mike Joseph, for helping us with the redesign of our website.
Our alumni Meagan Peoples, Jacob Took, Abigail Tuschman and Morgan Ome, for their advice and unwavering support.
J. Michael Keeling, who is generously helping us bind and archive old newspapers.
Lacey Cohen and Ian Murphy, for their help with using the Gator for distribution.
Our donors, for their contributions that have allowed the paper to continue to be financially independent.
A special thank you to every student, staff, faculty or community member, who has agreed to be interviewed by us or written for the paper. Your engagement truly means the world, and we could not have told the stories we have or represented the Hopkins community without you.
Thank you to everyone who has read or shared our work. We hope we helped keep you informed.
Last, but certainly not least, we would like to thank our editors and staff. The high-quality and amazing work that the paper has put out this year is a direct result of their efforts and commitment to the paper. We are so proud of what they have accomplished, and we have no doubt that the paper will be in excellent hands next year.
We hope you all have a wonderful summer, and we look forward to resuming our regular coverage in the fall!
Best,
Samhi Boppana, Shirlene John, Lana Swindle and Buse Koldas
