By LEISURE EDITOR | February 17, 2021

Head downtown this Sunday to flex your cornhole skills, either with a partner or “Switcholio” style.

From staying in and watching a sci-fi film to competing in a masked cornhole tournament, check out this week’s list of fun events in Baltimore.

Black History Bookmarks, Enoch Pratt Free Library (4 p.m. — 5 p.m.)

Call Enoch Pratt Free Library at (443) 984-3912 to request your Black History bookmark kit and schedule a time to pick it up through sidewalk service at the Northwood branch. Then register with Zoom to make your bookmark. Free, but first-come, first-serve.

Sci-Fi Fridays, Maryland Science Center (7 p.m. — 10 p.m.)

Join the Maryland Science Center for this week’s Sci-Fi Friday. Each Friday, the Center selects science fiction movies you can stream, suggests a science activity inspired by the films and gives a recipe for a themed cocktail on the event page. This week, stream The Thing and follow along on the event page for the science activity and cocktail. Free.

Cornhole Tournament, Superior Catering by M&M... and Sons (11 a.m. — 5 p.m.)

Make your way to Greektown this Sunday to compete in either Round Robin (bring your own partner) or “Switcholio” cornhole (switch your partner each game). Masks required. Registration and practice begins at 10 a.m. $40 per team for Round Robin and $20 per person for “Switcholio.”

Intro to Improv, Bird City Improv (5 p.m. — 6:30 p.m.)

Join Bird City Improv online for their weekly workshop to learn basic principles of improv and how to improve your communication skills. Free.
