Things to dislike about Autumn

October 6, 2016

The Weather

Admittedly I was raised in a pretty warm environment (both emotionally and physically — shout out to my parents), but I never understood the point of cold weather. The best part about it seems to be snow, so why do we love autumn so much? It’s just cold, and you aren’t allowed to put your winter jacket on yet because your friends will laugh at you.

The Color Brown

It is the color of leaves that didn’t have the decency to die in a more interesting manner. There are other good fall colors out there, just choose (ironically) any other warm color. Seriously why so much brown guys?

“Sweater Weather”

Not the concept, just the term. People say it a lot.

Leaves

This is less of a problem now that I am no longer the one who has to rake them. However, my parents have built within me an innate hatred for the fallen leaf after years of manual labor.

Tights

I realize a significant portion of you can’t relate, but hear me out. Imagine wearing a sock that went all the way up your leg and butt crack so that you could pretend you are wearing the appropriate amount of clothing for the weather.

Apples

It never made sense that people would get so excited about the season for a fruit that is sold cheaply year round. They are a poor consolation prize for all the delicious summer fruit we are losing.
