The Hopkins baseball team faced off against the Gettysburg College Bullets in a pair of games on Saturday, April 17. The teams were sitting on opposite ends of the Centennial Conference standings, so the Blue Jays were expecting to earn a win or two.

Even though the grandstands were empty, the new F1 cars’ engines revving reverberated through the racecourse and could be heard for miles. Over the course of a normal five-month season, NFL players are expected to travel the country, leave their friends and family and play 16 grueling games in all sorts of inclement weather with only one week to rest. With immense amounts of pressure, most contracts being not fully guaranteed and the risks of a potential season-ending injury every day, the life of an NFL player is tough enough.

Men’s lacrosse faced off against the seventh-ranked Rutgers University Scarlet Knights on Saturday to continue Big Ten Conference play. Hopkins entered the game ranked 14th in the nation, so they were hoping to put up a good fight.
