We’ve all been there. There’s no use in denying it. You’re sitting in Brody or Gilman or wherever you choose to study and you spend ninety percent of your time fooling around and accomplishing nothing that will ever be helpful to you and maybe (if you’re lucky) you study for a grand total of ten minutes. If you’re going to waste a rather large chunk of your life in this way, you might as well get creative with your procrastination, right? When the logic behind these plans is later revealed to the audience, making all of those crazy, impossible things that took place suddenly make sense, I find myself giddy with excitement. I sat front row and center for Ocean’s Eleven, Twelve, and Thirteen, waiting to see what crazy robbery they pulled off next. For this reason, I was hooked as soon as the opening credits of Now You See Me lit up the screen.

Whenever I tell people about my Ellen DeGeneres obsession, they assume it’s just because we have the same name. Well, I hate to break it to everyone, but I am not that vain (although, let’s be honest, I’m pretty great). I love her for thousands of reasons besides the excellent name her parents decided to give her when she was born.

The Oscars is the award show I always plan on watching but never actually have the time to. This year, I somehow found the time despite all of my schoolwork to sit down and watch the entire thing. And I have to say, I was not disappointed.

This season of The Bachelor has been as drama filled as the past ones. There was the crazy token b***h (who thankfully did not win this year), the drunken actions of girls, the exotic locations and as always, the eye-candy man who claims he in it for love.

Do you drive on the same side of the road in Canada? Is there a time change? Do you have a pet beaver? Do you live in an igloo? Do you have a polar bear? Isn’t it always snowing in Canada? Do you play hockey?

Facebook is a trap. I’ve never loved and hated something so much simultaneously before. At the beginning you visit it occasionally. Before you know it, it sucks you in and you’re spending the majority of your spare time scrolling aimlessly through its content. Even as I wrote these first three sentences, I found myself flipping to Facebook to check for new notifications. Big surprise, I had none.

Meredith Ward can be recognized around campus by her flawless style and enthusiasm for film. Ward, a lecturer in the Film & Media Studies Department, did not simply give a one-movie answer when asked what her favorite movie was. She explained that she changes the movie depending on the audience she is speaking to, altering it so she can have the most enjoyable conversation. Following that comment, she listed not just one film, but five that she loved, unable to narrow down the list.
