By MOLLY GAHAGEN | February 22, 2022

The University is mourning the loss of Marisol Luchetti, who passed away on Saturday. She was a senior studying Biophysics and Spanish in the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences.

In an email to the Hopkins community, Vice Provost for Student Health and Well-Being and Interim Vice Provost for Student Affairs Kevin Shollenberger and Interim Dean of Student Life Allison Avolio wrote about Luchetti’s impact on the community.

“She was kind to whomever she met and always made sure those around her were cared for,” they wrote.

Luchetti worked on campus in the Andrew Lab at the School of Medicine.

A memorial service open to all those who knew her will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 22 at 8 p.m. at the University’s Interfaith Center.

Schollenberger and Avolio wrote that students may express their condolences to Luchetti’s family by sending an email or letter to the Office of the Dean of Student Life addressed to “The family of Marisol Luchetti.”

They also offered their condolences to her family and loved ones.

“Campus administrators have been in contact with her family to provide support during this difficult time, and we convey our heartfelt condolences to all who were close to her,” they wrote. “Please keep them in your thoughts in the days ahead.”
