Letter to the Editor 04/01/22

By STEWIE DENT | April 1, 2022

APRIL FOOL’S: This article was published as part of The News-Letter’s annual April Fool’s edition, an attempt at adding some humor to a newspaper that is normally very serious about its reporting.

In response to “Students have been left out of the room where it happens for too long” published on Sept. 23, 2021:

You guys at The News-Letter just LOVE criticizing the administration, don’t you? Well, have you ever considered that the administration is just trying its best? It’s not easy putting up with annoying students who complain all the time, especially when they’re so mean!

“Give us COVID-19 guidelines that make sense.” “Make the campus accessible.” Well what about what the administration wants? Don’t administrators deserve a little bit of absolute authority sometimes?

The administrators are very good at their jobs, and they are also very handsome and smart and got the most valuable player trophy in their bowling league, but does anyone ever ask them about that? NO! All anyone wants to talk about is school policies. And maybe they’re sick of it! Maybe they want to be asked about their feelings, for once! Is that too much to ask?

So next time you write an editorial, maybe try thinking about the administration’s feelings for once. It wouldn’t kill you.

Sincerely,

Stewie Dent
