Head down to Preston Gardens in Mount Vernon for dogs in cute costumes like these on Thursday.

Thursday  

Barks & Boos, Preston Gardens (5 p.m. – 7 p.m.)

Preston Gardens in Mount Vernon is offering a pet-friendly happy hour with music, free snacks, free beer or wine, a pet-friendly photo booth and games for people and pets. The best dressed dog wins a prize! Free. 

Friday

Local Brewery Tap Takeover, Sliders (2 p.m. – 10 p.m.)

All weekend, head to Sliders near Camden Yards for a local brewery tap takeover. These include Charm City Meadworks, Full Tilt Brewing, DuClaw Brewing Co., Key Brewing Co., Oliver Brewing Company, UNION Craft Brewing, Peabody Heights Brewery, LLC, Jailbreak Brewing Company, Checkerspot Brewing Company and Mobtown Brewing Company. 21+. Free.

Witchs Brew: True Tales and Folklore of Witchcraft, Enoch Pratt Free Library (virtual due to COVID-19) (6 p.m. — 7 p.m.)

Enoch Pratt Free Library is hosting a virtual exploration of the spooky stories of Maryland’s witchy past, covering what colonial Maryland was like for those accused of witchcraft. Zoom dial-in numbers can be found on Facebook, and the event will also be broadcasted on Enoch Pratt Free Library’s Facebook page. Free.

Art Anti-Social, Mount Vernon Marketplace (6 p.m. — 8 p.m.)

This “socially distanced art show” is a free multi-genre event featuring artist storytelling and showcases, live band performances and local artists. There will also be a special band performance by The Jeffers. Costumes are encouraged, and masks are required for this event. Free.

Time Warp Fright Night, Checkerspot Brewing Company (8 p.m. — 11 p.m.)

Checkerspot in Federal Hill is showing The Rocky Horror Picture Show using an outdoor projector. There is no formal cast for the interactive reenactment, so guests are encouraged to dress up for it. Halloween-themed music will be played all night. Free. 

Saturday

Halloween Art & Craft Market, Ottobar (1 p.m. — 5 p.m.)

Head over to Ottobar’s patio in Remington for a Halloween pop-up market. Local vendors will sell arts and crafts, and the event will feature pies by Pizza Llama. Masks and social distancing are required. Free. 

Sunday

Pumpkin Smash, Maryland Science Center (10 a.m. – 12 p.m.)

After Halloween, bring your jack-o’-lantern to the Maryland Science Center in the Inner Harbor to send it off in a pumpkin launch tube! Drop off your pumpkin and watch as the science center staff throws the pumpkins off the roof. Free.
