Sad days in America when free speech is trampled over by a few spoiled brats

Ahhhh, it is is great watching the snake eat itself into utter destruction. The unquestionable dominance of liberal professors and their methods on college campuses have promoted anarchy, and now those same professors are on the frontlines with the ugly face of their own production. I mean look at this nonsense from Berkeley:

Apparently trying to take an exam in a Social and Cultural Studies class now reinforces white privilege? Berkely has become a laughing stock these days and is nothing more than a high priced baby sitting center. Next time you have an engineering exam or a math exam, be sure to get up and demand that the it be canceled or that it be take home because you felt triggered that much of the fundamental theories of calculus were established by the likes of white males such as Newton, Gauss and Euler. See how well that goes for you when you apply for engineering jobs that’ll impact public safety yet you can’t do calculus because you refused to learn it due to white privilege. The left has completely fallen off their rockers and the inmates of the insane asylums that dominant liberalism ideology on campuses has produced are now running institutions. Gone are the days of rationally minded libs who actually showed respect and had poignant ideas to make like what the 60s and 70s produced.

Title is kind of misleading. Maybe changing to “…on college campuses” instead of just “…on campus”. Makes it seem like you’re trying to criticize the Hopkins campus in particular, which based off of the 5th to last paragraph, doesn’t seem to be the case. Also would be funny if that was the case because being published in the school newspaper is far from being “unfairly silenced”.

James- there are more conservatives on campus than you might guess. Would love to get lunch with you sometime. In the meantime, one nice thing about JHU is that the workload is soul-crushing enough to keep people out of to much mischief. No worries

just a clarification of the fallacious claim in the article, i was there during the lecture that this author is discussing and the laughter was not towards the comment that trump isn’t comparable to president snow from the hunger games (which wasn’t even the case being argued by the guest speaker, the speaker was discussing the parallels between both worlds in terms of our fascination with reality TV and propagandistic media). the laugher was actually towards the comment that white masculininity is being targeted the most during this era, which given the recent attacks on immigrants through the rescinding of DACA or the rolling back of contraceptives for women, is such a lofty and ignorant claim — when marginalized people are afraid of the deprivation of their rights and at an heightened sense of insecurity, to claim that white men are being threatened the most is bound to induce a reaction, often laughter. this isn’t “limiting free speech” or “censorship” but a natural reaction to a controversial statement and skewing the truth in this article to make the comment seem more minor is disingenuous
