After competing in the Harvard Invitational last Friday, the Hopkins water polo team traveled straight to Cambridge, Mass. on Saturday for the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III Eastern Championship at MIT.

The qualification tournament, known as the Hexagonal, started out as poorly as possible for the United States. The top four teams in the group would qualify for at least a playoff spot. All the United States had to do was tie, and they would be guaranteed at least a chance against Australia for the final qualifying position.

For the first time in almost five years, the Hopkins football team lost a regular season game. The unparalleled 45-game regular season winning streak was snapped this weekend in an epic showdown against the Ursinus College Bears, with the Blue Jays falling 21-17 in Collegeville, Pa.
