This past weekend, Hopkins men’s and women’s tennis continued their domination of the Centennial Conference, both winning their matches against the Haverford College Fords to remain undefeated in Conference play. The 20th-ranked women’s team continued their action on the court into Sunday, taking on the 18th-ranked University of Mary Washington Eagles.

I have been dating my girlfriend, Sydney, since Valentine’s Day in the eighth grade. Yesterday marks our seven-year anniversary. (There were two relatively short breakups mixed in there, but we don’t have to talk about those.) You’d think that asking a girl out on Valentine’s Day is corny, and you would probably be right, but eighth-grade me thought it was quite clever and that it would be an easy way to remember any anniversaries.

This past weekend, the Hopkins men’s basketball team took on Centennial Conference opponent, the Muhlenberg College Mules, at Goldfarb Gymnasium. The Blue Jays sit at 2-0 in the Conference and 6-0 on the season, keeping their undefeated record going into December.

After defeating Wilkes University in the second round of the NCAA Division-III Women’s Soccer Tournament, the Hopkins women’s soccer team advanced to the Sweet 16 for the ninth time in program history. Hopkins headed to Williamstown, Mass. to face the SUNY Geneseo Knights.

The Hopkins women’s volleyball team’s 18-game winning streak ended on the road against the 25th ranked Stevenson University Mustangs, losing 3-1 on Thursday. After the loss, the Jays bounced back and swept the Ursinus College Bears on Saturday.

This includes the 2001 Seattle Mariners (116-46) in the MLB who lost in the American League Championship Series, the 2016 Golden State Warriors (73-9) who lost in the NBA Finals, the 2007 New England Patriots (16-0) who lost the Super Bowl and the 1996 Detroit Red Wings (62-13-7) in the NHL who lost in the Western Conference Finals.
