Senior Dominick Reyes is no stranger to the spotlight. The weekend of Feb. 26, Reyes won the NCAA Mideast Regional title in the 165-pound weight division for the second consecutive time, securing his bid to the NCAA Division III championships for the third time in his career as a Blue Jay.

The men’s lacrosse team defended home turf against the Loyola University Maryland Greyhounds the weekend of Feb. 19. The Jays came out on top in a game that remained tight the whole way, winning 11-10 and becoming the first lacrosse program in history to reach 1,000 wins.

For several seasons, the Hopkins wrestling team has held the Black & Blue Brawl, an inter-squad scrimmage, to kick off the new season. This year, however, the scrimmage was renamed Bradlee’s Brawl to honor former Blue Jay Bradlee Hillier LaMontagne, who tragically passed away last year.

The Hopkins football team made their season debut with a road game against the Stevenson University Mustangs this past weekend. The Jays’ last game before this one came nearly two years ago, when they played the Mustangs in the Centennial and Middle Atlantic Conference Bowl and won 51-28.

Women’s and men’s track and field put up several record-breaking performances and personal bests on April 16 and 17. The teams sent some distance runners to Charlottesville, Va. to compete at the Virginia Challenge, while the rest of the team competed at the home track for the first time in two years at the Hopkins/Loyola Invitational.

Undefeated to start their respective seasons, the women’s and men’s tennis teams went on the road to face Washington College Shoremen on April 10. Neither the women’s or men’s team ended up dropping a match, with each side going for a combined 9-0 in doubles and singles play.
