I am an american citizen who will be a felon as of 11-1-07 because of my husbands legal status.I agree illegal immigration is a problem, but according to this new law every time my family gets in the car together I am commiting a felony.My husband could be deported, I could go to jail for a year, and my son could end up in State custody. Is there not a "real" felon who you would rather OUR tax dollars pay to have incarcerated? Do you want your tax dollars used to raise my son, when he has a perfectly safe,loving family already? how would you feel if your family faced this kind of persecution? I have lived in Oklahoma mu whole life, I don't use the system. Everything we have is from busting our butts to pay for it.How am I different from you?
