Abstract:
Male athletes sometimes touch each other's backsides. Not that Hopkins is by any means a socially "normal" school, but I think I would be correct in stating that in most places, even at Hopkins, a friendly tap on the behind from male-to-male, or even male-to-female, in public, would be questioned....

I can't tell you how long I have been searching the web for some sort of reason for the slap on the butt before I finally found this site. This is the most information anywhere on this topic. Thank You Mary!

Great article. I never got a chance to read this. You have to use this clipping when you apply for internships (That is, if you've ever thought of applying to papers!)
