About the Bayside CD "Shudder" I almost completely agree. I am a beyond loyal fan and have been for a long time. Unfortunately, I am overwhelmingly more a fan of their older stuff. Epic songs from the "Sirens and Condolences" and "Bayside", two of Bayside's older albums, make it kind of hard to be impressed by these overly mainstream sounding and pop/catchy melodies. "Shudder", in my opinion, strays from the intense lyrics that most long-time fans appreciate in Bayside songs. However, let me end on a more positive note. "Shudder" is not a complete failure and it does give us a new side of Bayside, and whether it be a good or bad side is relative.
