I have always seen a marriage coulseling theme in the movies, but it seems that the theatre does not want to reflect this specific aspect of reality. Sometimes, married people need professional help and when that happens the rest of us watching can have a good laugh.

The play is a comedy set at a wedding reception in Knoxville, Tennessee where five bridesmaids have found refuge in the room of Meredith, the sister of the bride. The women come to realize, among other things, that they are closer friends with each other than they are with the bride.

Her character shows the most depth, ranging from the outspoken empowered woman to the sympathetic friend. I agree with this.
